Our client requires a UX Designer to lead the creation of seamless user experiences for existing customers and employees by optimizing the functional experience and creating a polished, distinctive branded experience for our public sector client’s digital, corporate, and business application portfolios. 

Work is hybrid with approximately 2 to 3 days onsite per week.

Responsibilities Include: 

  • End-to-end development and review of experience design projects (user research, UX design, service design) 
  • Support implementation of performance measurement, continuous improvement and adoption of design tools, methodologies, standards. 
  • Produce deliverables such as reports for User/Stakeholder research, design planning, UX strategy, project planning, information architecture, interface design, design systems, usability testing, QA checklists, bug reports, training materials and system usage guidelines 

 

Mandatory Requirements
  • 3-5 years’ experience with UX Design: Deep skills in interaction design, user interface design, information design, and graphic design 
  • 3-5 years’ experience in service design activities and deliverables, including workshops, research sessions, analysis and synthesis of insights, and experience design direction 
  • Knowledge of how design deliverables integrate with technology solutions, including multi-platform environments 
  • Capacity to assess short- and long-term implications of design recommendations and evaluate alternatives 
  • Understanding of current and emerging digital design and service delivery models, including research techniques and protocols 
  • Excellent oral, visual, and written communication abilities to articulate complex concepts to various stakeholders 
  • Ability to work on multidisciplinary teams, provide motivation, and foster teamwork 
  • Strong skills in negotiating and influencing internal and external stakeholders 
  • Expertise in UX design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, InVision). 
Desirable Requirements
  • Agile Methodology: Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and how UX fits into agile workflows. 
  • Accessibility Expertise: In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices in digital design. 
  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting user data to inform design decisions. 
  • Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with emerging technologies and their potential impact on UX design (e.g., AI, VR/AR). 
  • Project Management: Experience in managing complex UX projects from conception to completion. 
  • Industry-Specific Knowledge: Understanding of public sector procurement processes and challenges. 
  • Design Systems: Experience in creating and maintaining design systems for large-scale applications. 
  • Cross-Platform Design: Expertise in designing for multiple platforms (web, mobile, desktop) while maintaining consistency. 
  • User Psychology: Knowledge of cognitive psychology principles as they apply to UX design. 
  • Localization: Experience in designing for multilingual and multicultural user bases.
