Our client requires a Business Analyst to support the Public Security and Emergency Services (PSES) program service in initiating and advancing the Modernization of Operations initiative. The scope encompasses a comprehensive assessment of current service delivery processes across PSES program areas, with a particular focus on those that are predominantly manual. The business analyst will identify and document opportunities for modernization through process re-engineering, digitization, automation, and the adoption of AI and emerging technologies.
In collaboration with stakeholders and technical support teams, the business analyst will develop a baseline of existing processes, estimate potential efficiency gains, and recommend practical strategies for technology adoption.
Resource will work onsite in Edmonton, AB.

Mandatory Requirements
- 5 years’ experience with data analysis, reporting, and the development of evaluation and measurement plans for project outcomes
- 2 years’ Lean Six Sigma Green belt preferred while familiar with digitization and process automation best practices.
- 5 years’ proven experience in business process analysis and technology modernization, including emerging technologies such as Robotic Process Automation and AI, with a demonstrated ability to identify, quantify, and validate efficiency gains from digitization and technology adoption.
- 5 years’ strong background in process mapping, gap analysis, and developing current-state baselines for complex service delivery environments with strong data fundamentals (how data is collected, integrated, governed, and reused)
Desirable Requirements
- 5 years’ ability to develop and execute work plans, roadmaps, and evaluation frameworks.
- 5 years’ excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills for executive and operational audiences.
- 5 years’ experience in end-to-end process and value-stream mapping
- 5 years’ experience in executive-level reporting and strategic planning
- 2 years’ experience with geospatial data, spatial workflows, and system integration.
- 5 years’ experience working with diverse stakeholder groups, including program leaders, IT teams, and end-users.
