Our client requires one or more senior C# Software Engineer with experience designing solutions, programming, and working with industrial protocols and/or embedded devices in Linux environment. The successful candidate will have experience in oil & gas and/or instrumentation, be self-driven, and proven ability to work independently and deliver results. Candidates with above qualifications but less experience may be considered for a junior role.
This position is onsite near government center in Edmonton.

Mandatory Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Very Strong experience in C# backend programming
- Strong experience with industrial protocol especially with DNP3
- Proven ability to work independently
- Proven ability to design and deliver solutions from concepts and ideas
Desirable Requirements
- Experience C# programming in Linux and embedded systems environment is highly desirable
- Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, or flow measurement
- Experience with WPF application development, Developer Express component library
- Oil & gas experience
- Experience with Docker
- Experience with Mender
- Instrumentation experience
- Experience with Rockwell instrumentation, motor drive, Power Flex, and Rockwell automation
- Experience with ACE, WPS, Developer Express
- Experience with industrial protocols such as ENIP (Ethernet IP), MODBUS, OPC-UA, MQTT, WITSML
- Experience with PLC programming
- Master or PhD in computer engineering or related
