Our client requires an Intermediate level Business Analyst to contribute as part of a team, responsible for delivering service mapping services and related duties as part of the technical debt mitigation program. The Technical Debt Mitigation Program involves a number of applications that have been identified as having critical security vulnerabilities, which require immediate mitigation. To develop a comprehensive mitigation plan for these applications, a service map for each is required. A service map provides essential information about the IT environment in which the application operates in, such as infrastructure, software, hardware, etc. the relationship that exists amongst them, and how they work together to provide a business service. As an effective mitigation plan must account for these components, service maps are a key foundational input into the Technical Debt Mitigation program.
Resource will work remotely but must be available to be on-site when requested for meetings. Frequency of meeting could be up to 3-4 times per month. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues. Resource is responsible to pay for travel to on-site meetings.
Mandatory Requirements
- 3 years experience and broad understand of the technical environment and linkages between systems
- 3 years experience in developing services maps for organizations with complex IT environments and infrastructure.
- 3 years experience support application infrastructure and/or software development
- 3 years experience using ServiceNow application to create and maintain service maps, reports, dashboards, and visual task boards.
- 3 years experience working with application stakeholders to gather information about their systems and underlying technology infrastructure.
Desirable Requirements
- ITIL Foundations certifications
- 3 years experience leading and facilitating meetings with stakeholders at all levels
- 2 years experience within a Public Sector organization.
- 3 years experience familiarity with Microsoft Visio or other diagramming software.
- 3 years familiarity with ServiceNow ITOM.
- 3 years familiarity with TOGAF framework.
- 3 years experience with Project management and related technical abilities to implement application services on an enterprise scale, with both software and hardware components.
