Our client requires a Quality Assurance Analyst to augment the client’s project and program quality for the Cybersecurity & IT Resiliency Program. Solid experience with quality assurance testing of large and complex IT projects is required including demonstrable experience in supporting the implementation of enterprise Commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) on premise and Software as a service (SaaS) applications and products. IT infrastructure and security-related projects is highly desirable. This includes assessing, reviewing, updating, evaluating, and validating testing throughout all stages of project and program planning and implementation.

This position is designated as a ‘hybrid position’ which requires the resources to work at the office (with occasional work taking place at other Client facilities) at least 20% of the week. An expectation to work at the New Westminster location and travel to other client locations in the Greater Vancouver Area as requested at consultant’s expense. Resource shall be available during the Clients standard business office hours between 7:30AM–5PM Pacific Standard Time.

Mandatory Requirements
  • 5+ years of recent and hands-on experience in application testing.
  • Experience with testing large enterprise level applications, such as ERP, Finance, HR, CSM, Asset Management system.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Ability to work with a range of stakeholders across multiple organizations to gather complex information and make sound recommendations for QA.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with QA methodologies and quality management practices/trends.
  • Analytical and broad-based technical knowledge/skills; with ability to think through details and tactics without losing sight of overall strategic goals.
  • Exceptional tactical and critical strategic thinking.
  • Good in identifying issues and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Proficient in developing test cases/scripts.
  • In-depth understanding of QA process and testing using the Agile/DevOps methodology.
  • Process oriented.
  • Relationship building at all levels (i.e. end-users to C-level).
  • Strong capability to translate process and technical problems using business terms.
  • Experienced documentation and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively facilitate discussions with a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Strong team leadership skills that motivate and encourage collaboration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong report writing skills, including business and technical report writing.
Desirable Requirements
  • IT infrastructure and security-related projects is highly desirable.
  • Experience in a Unionized environment – exposure to Union organizations such as CUPE, COPE and CAW/Unifor
