Our client requires multiple Data Engineers/Data Analyst (7) to review and digital transformation projects. The Data Engineers/Data Analyst will work as part of cross-functional program review or product delivery teams

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and architectures; Perform exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights; Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, SaaS VA); etc.

Work is remote within Canada.

Edmonton, Alberta (Remote within Canada)

Mandatory Requirements
  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, IT or related field of study.
  • 4 years’ experience as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • 2 years’ experience with cloud platforms, including AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage), or Azure (Azure SQL Database, Blob Storage), with a focus on deploying scalable data solutions and optimizing data pipelines for a range of projects.
  • 2 years’ experience with data marts, data warehousing, BI tools, etc.
  • 4 years’ experience working with querying data with Microsoft Transact-SQL Server.
  • 2 years’ knowledge of ETL processes and tools, with hands-on experience designing and implementing data pipelines for transforming and loading data from multiple sources into data warehouses.
Desirable Requirements
  • 1 year experience integrating DevOps practices to the development workflow using CI/CD best practices
  • 1 year experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Data Factory, API Management, Talend, etc.
  • 1 year experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages such as R, Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc.
  • 1 year experience with the GOA IT infrastructure, business direction, strategies, shared service initiatives and/or applications
