Our client requires a project manager to lead strategic technology modernization and business transformation initiatives, providing project leadership, governance, delivery oversight, and stakeholder alignment. Resource will manage complex cross-functional projects involving system implementations, business process improvement, vendor management, operational transformation, organizational change management, executive reporting, risk management, financial oversight, and delivery of business objectives.
Work is hybrid.

Responsibilities
- Leading the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful delivery of strategic digital transformation, technology modernization, business process improvement, system implementation, and operational transformation initiatives.
- Developing and maintaining integrated project plans, delivery roadmaps, implementation schedules, milestone plans, governance frameworks, RAID logs, decision registers, dependency trackers, and issue management processes.
- Managing relationships with external vendors, implementation partners, consultants, technology providers, business stakeholders, technical teams, operational teams, executive sponsors, and external partners.
- Establishing and maintaining project governance structures, steering committees, working groups, decision-making forums, executive-level presentations, status reports, dashboards, briefing materials, and governance updates.
- Leading project risk management, dependency management, issue resolution, change management, business readiness, communication planning, training coordination, operational transition activities, and stakeholder engagement.
- Monitoring project budgets, forecasts, procurement activities, resource allocations, spending, business case development, vendor evaluations, financial reporting, and ensuring deliverables meet business requirements on time, scope, and budget
Mandatory Requirements
- Demonstrated experience managing multi-disciplinary projects involving technology, operations, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and delivery best practices.
- Experience managing vendor relationships, professional services engagements, and contractual deliverables.
- Experience preparing executive presentations, status reports, briefing notes, governance materials, and business cases.
- Exceptional communication, facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Minimum 8–10 years of experience leading complex digital transformation, business transformation, technology modernization, or enterprise project delivery initiatives.
- Strong understanding of organizational change management, stakeholder engagement, and business readiness planning.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, procurement activities, and resource planning.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Figma and collaboration platforms.
- Public Sector experience is preferred
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within utility, infrastructure, regulated, public-sector, or customer service organizations
- PMP, Prince2, Agile, Scrum, Lean, Prosci, or equivalent certifications
- Knowledge and understanding of Project Management’s Institute’s Project Management Body of Knowledge
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
- Ability to make recommendations on the acquisition of software, hardware, and technology resources
- Experience managing and coordinating project monitoring, anticipates and troubleshoots issues, provides ongoing expertise, resolves problems and provides project effectiveness
- Ability to identify conflict between project and functional areas and develops responses to successfully address conflict
- Ability to handle client relationships to manage expectations, provides updates as required, identifies potential conflicts between project and functional areas
