Our client requires a supporting the design, development, and optimization of enterprise wide data services within a federated data ecosystem, enabling improved analytics, AI/ML capabilities, data orchestration, and information management across a large public sector environment. Resource will be advancing data strategy, governance, and service delivery through strategic planning, architecture, and multi disciplinary IMT expertise. This includes collaborating with senior leaders to create roadmaps, frameworks, and insights that enhance data accessibility, innovation, and cross organizational alignment.
Resource will work remotely but must be available to be on-site when requested for meetings. Frequency of meeting could be up to 3-4 times per fiscal year. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues. Resource is responsible to pay for travel to on-site meetings.

Responsibilities
- Lead activities across information management, strategic planning, technology analysis, and business analysis to support enterprise data strategy, AI/ML enablement, and data platform modernization.
- Provide expert guidance on data platform services, generative and agent based AI capabilities, advanced analytics, orchestration solutions, data management, and DevSecOps best practices.
- Develop and present architecture options, roadmaps, frameworks, visual assets, and executive level briefings to guide strategic decision making and enhance data driven services.
- Facilitate strategic conversations, cross functional workshops, and stakeholder alignment sessions to support enterprise wide data initiatives and define future-state service offerings.
- Support product and platform teams through advisory, coaching, and continuous improvement across discovery, design, implementation, and operational phases.
- Prepare and deliver scheduled status reporting while contributing to evolving outcomes, KPIs, metrics, and deliverables based on emerging business and technical needs
Mandatory Requirements
- Must meet or exceed one of the following:
- University graduation-Computing Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), Engineering (ENG), Management Information Systems (MIS) or related discipline & 6-yrs progressive related experience;
- 2-yr diploma-CS, IT, ENG, MIS or related discipline & 8-yrs progressive related experience;
- 1-yr certificate-CS, IT, ENG, MIS or related discipline & 9-yrs progressive related experience;
- 10-yrs progressive related experience
- 5 years’ experience with architecting and integrating AI, ML, and analytics services into the enterprise or government data platforms to support orchestration, analysis, and processing at scale.
- 3 years’ experience with managing end-to-end delivery of complex IMT projects, including solution reviews, progress tracking, risk management, and adoption planning.
- 7 years’ experience with leading the design, architecture, and delivery of IMT services and roadmaps using user-centered and agile approaches to meet evolving business needs.
- 3 years’ experience with leading strategic discussions with executives and cross-ministry teams to align stakeholder needs, architectural priorities, and business objectives.
- 5 years’ experience with designing and implementing enterprise data management frameworks, governance models, and lifecycle processes to support an enterprise environment (preferably public sector)
- 5 years’ experience with developing business cases, feasibility studies, risk assessments, scope definitions, and project and program plans.
Desirable Requirements
- 3 years’ experience with architecting and maintaining and orchestrating secure, automated CI/CD pipelines for data and AI services to enable rapid, compliant deployments.
- 7 years’ experience with cloud platforms and their data services, including storage, computing, analytics, and data management tools. Demonstrates familiarity with major cloud ecosystems and the ability to leverage their native services for scalable, secure, and efficient data operations.
- 1 year experience with designing and implementing emerging generative and agent-based AI solutions to enhance automation and service delivery.
- 3 years’ experience with applying privacy, security, and compliance requirements to data services and AI solutions to ensure lawful and ethical use.
- 5 years’ experience creating visually compelling architecture diagrams, service blueprints, journey maps, prototype designs, business plans, program plans, strategic plans, tactical plans, operational plans, communication plans and road-maps
