Our client requires a developer for replacement of critical applications. Responsibilities include application design, development, and testing. This role requires linking multiple systems together using a microservices and API first approach and continuing to develop functionality of the new applications. Working within an agile environment, the developer will support modernization of data and information collection and distribution by attending scrums/ daily meetings, programming, testing and supporting system maintenance.  Other duties include documenting technical work and developing reference materials

Work is remote within Canada.

Victoria, British Columbia (Remote within Canada)

Mandatory Requirements

Mandatory Requirements Include:

  • Must have the ability to:
    • Program, test, and support the development and maintenance of systems by:
      • translating software specifications into code;
      • documenting technical work; and
      • developing technical reference materials.
    • Minimum 2 years’ experience within the BC Government IT sector, demonstrating experience with transforming business processes;
    • Experience with Jira and Confluence in an agile approach.
