Our client requires a Network Analyst to plan, implement, and provide support for the Cisco Secure Workload solution (CSW). CSW plays a vital role in a Zero Trust Network project by helping to ensure the security of workloads through micro segmentation and policy enforcement across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The resource will be responsible for implementing, modernizing, managing and supporting our network infrastructure, along with proactive monitoring, analysis and reporting.
Resource will work remotely but must be available to be on-site when requested for meetings. Frequency of meeting could be up to 3-4 times per month. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time. Work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security issues. Resource is responsible to pay for travel to on-site meetings.

Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field of study equivalencies will be considered.
- Agrees to a Criminal Records Check and Enhanced Security Clearance including a credit check prior to commencement.
- 6 years’ proficiency in deploying/integrating monitoring tools such as Splunk, Cisco Secure Analytics, or Elastic Stack to ensure Zero Trust implementations are actively monitored and anomalies detected.
- 5 years’ experience designing and deploying Zero Trust security models esp NIST 800-207, including micro segmentation, identity-based access controls, and least-privilege policies across networks and applications.
- 5 years’ direct involvement in creating operational procedures, network diagrams, and policy frameworks tailored for Zero Trust implementations.
- 5 years’ practical experience deploying, configuring, and managing Cisco Secure Workload, including application flow discovery, policy enforcement, and network segmentation.
- 5 years’ implementing ZTNA solutions to replace traditional VPNs, ensuring secure remote access while adhering to Zero Trust principles.
Desirable Requirements
- Professional certification focused on Zero Trust principles, implementation, and maturity models, aligned with frameworks like NIST 800-207. Covers micro segmentation, identity-based access controls, and Zero Trust maturity models.
- Provides foundational knowledge on security operations, aligned with Zero Trust principles.
- 6 years’ experience securing workloads in hybrid or multi-cloud environments, ensuring seamless integration of Zero Trust principles across on-premises and cloud platforms.
- 8 years’ collaboration across teams. Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams (server, application, network, Cybersecurity teams etc.) to implement Zero Trust solutions while minimizing operational disruptions.
- 5 years’ experience with public sector or compliance-heavy environments (e.g., NIST, DoD, PCI-DSS).
- 8 years’ experience in creating comprehensive documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and post-implementation evaluations.
- 8 years’ ability to communicate Zero Trust design benefits, challenges, and status updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives.
- 8 years’ experience in training teams and stakeholders on Zero Trust principles, policies, and tools to ensure alignment with organizational security goals.
