Our client requires a QA Tester with previous experience testing electronic healthcare applications. Responsibilities include contributing towards development of test strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources and skill sets required; Execute functional & system integration testing for User Interface (UI) and backend systems, connectivity/error handling testing, and other test types as defined in the test strategy/plan; Develop and execute robust and dynamic automated test scripts, parameterize test data, and integrate the scripts into an automated test suite; etc.
Work is onsite at client location in Toronto, ON.

Mandatory Requirements
- Minimum 6 to 8 years’ QA experience testing and automating applications within electronic health-related projects and hands on experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Knowledge of Ontario Lab Information System (OLIS), Provincial Client Registry (PCR), Provincial Provider Registry (PPR), MOH Immunization Registry (Panorama/DHIR), and One Access Gateway (OAG)
- Hands-on experience with User Interface (UI) and Web Services automation using tools such as SOAPUI, Postman, Selenium, Selenium WebDriver, or Dexter and experience with Data Driven automation approach as well as working with Gitlab
- Experience working with ORACLE, ETL, SQL databases and creating complex data queries
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) messages and data structures
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with HL7 messages and data structures
- Experience with testing RESTful APIs
- Experience with testing system accesses based on OAuth authentication/authorization and SAMLs/JWT tokens
Desirable Requirements
- Public Sector experience
- Knowledge and experience in Java programming language
- Knowledge and understanding of testing methods in an object-oriented environment
- Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
- Knowledge and understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
- Experience planning and organizing testing efforts for both large and small systems
- Experience coding automated test scripts to produce sets of automated test cases
- Knowledge of structured methodologies for the development, design, implementation, and maintenance of applications
- Knowledge and experience in the use of automated test tools and version control systems on one or more platforms
- Experience executing functional tests, non-functional tests, and systems level integration tests
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing and participating in UAT activities
- Experience with quality assurance principles, practices, tools, and structured methodologies
- Experience creating testing strategy documentation, test plans, test cases and test data for distinct types and phases of testing, including technical and business functional validation
- Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills; organizational, creativity and perseverance skills; verbal and written communication skills
- A team player with strong interpersonal skills and a track record for meeting deadlines
- Knowledge of one or more automated testing tools
