Our client requires a Solution Architect to provide technical leadership and architectural direction for a major cloud-based digital transformation initiative in the public education sector. The successful candidate will drive cloud strategy, design serverless AWS applications, and lead agile development teams in building scalable, responsive, and student-centered digital solutions. Key focus areas include C# .NET, NoSQL, Angular/TypeScript front-end frameworks, RESTful APIs, and AI-driven software development.
Work is Remote or onsite.
Edmonton, Alberta (Onsite or Remote)
Mandatory Requirements
- Must possess:
- A university degree or two-year diploma in computer science or a related discipline (e.g., software development, programming, systems design, or information technology studies) from an accredited post-secondary institution and a minimum of five (5) years of experience as an architect on software development projects; OR
- A one-year certificate in computer science or a related discipline (e.g., software development, programming, systems design, or information technology studies) from an accredited post-secondary institution and a minimum of seven (7) years of experience as an architect on software development projects.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an architect on software development projects using all of the following: C#, .Net development, NoSQL (AWS Dynamo DB), and VS Code.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the role of architect working on Amazon AWS software development projects.
- A minimum of three (3) years’ experience developing, building, testing, and deploying solutions using JavaScript frameworks Angular (2.0 or higher) and/or React.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience in solution architecting cloud native serverless applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) using microservices architecture.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks Angular (version 2.0 or higher) and React.
- Experience in solution architecting enterprise-scale, cloud-based platforms (new education related software development projects).
- Experience with NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB, MongoDB).
