Our client requires a QA Test Analyst to support the modernization of a legacy Case Management System. The tester will validate new .NET Core functionality and ensure functional equivalency to an existing Classic ASP/VBScript application that has limited documentation.
Work is hybrid with 3 days onsite/week at client location in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts for .NET Core application components
- Validate migrated features against behaviour observed in the existing Classic ASP/VBScript application
- Analyze legacy screens, workflows, and code logic to determine expected outcomes
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing
- Document defects clearly and work closely with developers to resolve issues
- Support DevOps-driven testing and release cycles
- Provide weekly reporting on status, progress, and key issues/concerns
Mandatory Requirements
- 5+ years’ strong experience testing web applications (preferably .NET Core)
- 5+ years ability to interpret and understand Classic ASP/VBScript logic to determine expected system behaviour
- 5+ years’ experience testing undocumented or partially documented legacy systems
- 5+ years’ experience working with DevOps pipelines and CI/CD workflows
- 5+ years’ expertise in writing and executing test cases, scenarios, and scripts for web applications, covering functional, regression, integration and UAT testing
- 5+ years of experience in software QA/testing
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, JIRA, HP ALM)
- Understanding of front-end technologies
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
