Our client requires two (2) developers for modernizing a legacy case management system by rebuilding outdated components into a modern architecture. Developers will focus on backend and frontend development to enhance system performance, accessibility, and user experience through updated frameworks, responsive design, and improved interface capabilities. Duties include migrating Classic ASP/VBScript code into .NET Core, developing backend and frontend components, enhancing UI/UX, optimizing SQL, and delivering maintainable solutions using modern DevOps and development practices.
Work is hybrid with 3 days onsite at client location in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities
- Modernize and rebuild legacy Classic ASP/VBScript components using .NET Core
- Develop backend components using C#, Entity Framework, LINQ, SQL Server
- Build responsive UI with HTML5, CSS/SASS/SCSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
- Analyze legacy code and implement modern equivalents
- Use Visual Studio as the primary development environment
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions
Mandatory Requirements
- 5+ years analyze legacy code and implement modern equivalents
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft .NET technologies
- 5+ years strong experience with C#, .NET Core, and Entity Framework
- 5+ years solid SQL Server experience (queries, stored procedures, optimization)
- 5+ years’ experience with Classic ASP / VBScript migration
- Proficiency with Visual Studio
- Strong front-end skills: JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS, SASS, SCSS, Bootstrap
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices (e.g., CI/CD pipelines, Git, automated builds)
- Strong communication, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
