Our client requires two (2) Procurement Specialist (Buyer) to analyze and refine both business and technical requirements, translating them into detailed RFX solicitation documents. May also contribute to the initial planning stages to determine how projects will be delivered. Deliverables will include Solicitation Document Preparation Support; Prepare RFXs and draft associated review documents; Evaluation & Debrief; Post-RFX Activities; and System and Administrative Support of SAP Ariba and SharePoint sites.
Resource will work onsite at client office in Edmonton, AB.

Mandatory Requirements
- Relevant post-secondary education in areas of supply chain, procurement, business or a related field, Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates (minimum 2 year diploma)
- The ability to organize files, documents, etc.
- 4 years’ experience coaching and training junior staff members.
- 4 years’ experience independently performing activities related to developing and releasing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Negotiated Requests for Proposals (NFRPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Requests for Information (RFIs), negotiations, evaluation, supplier feedback, and contract execution
- 2 years’ experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools.
- 4 years relevant experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role.
Desirable Requirements
- Completion of SCMP or other equivalent courses and associated certificates.
- 2 years’ experience with trade agreements, Financial Administration Act, Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, Public Works Act.
- 3 years contract management experience
- 3 years providing procurement advice to internal clients, senior leadership, and cross functional teams
- 3 years’ experience in quantitative and qualitative analysis of costs and benefits
- Experience with supporting documentation and compliance within Ariba and SharePoint
