Our client requires an IT application support analyst to act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise court applications and data platforms. Responsibilities include improving service delivery through implementation of ITSM processes, supporting both legacy and modern cloud-based applications, and aligning technology solutions with business and judicial outcomes. Success in this role will require skills in business analysis, vendor management, and data governance within a secure, regulated environment.
Resource will work onsite at client location in Edmonton, AB.

Responsibilities
- Lead the transition from ad-hoc support models to a standardized ITSM framework (e.g., ServiceNow/Jira), including incident, change, and request management workflows.
- Act as functional lead for major incidents, coordinating communication and resolution of critical system outages impacting operations.
- Gather and document complex business and judicial requirements, translating them into technical specifications and ensuring solutions meet user needs.
- Monitor vendor and internal product team performance, ensuring application services meet SLAs, quality standards, and service delivery expectations.
- Ensure security, compliance, and data governance standards are maintained, including user access audits and oversight of data platforms such as Snowflake.
- Support application lifecycle activities including change management, release oversight, environment transitions (on-prem to cloud), and continuous process improvement initiatives
- Oversee the functional migration of applications and data between environments (Dev/Prod) or from legacy on-premises hosting to cloud-based services (Azure/AWS)
Mandatory Requirements
- Must meet or exceed one of the following:
- University graduation in Information Technology or a related discipline and 3-yr Application Analyst (AA) experience; OR
- 2-yr diploma in Information Technology or a related discipline and 5-yr AA experience; OR
- 1-yr certificate in Information Technology or a related discipline and 6-yr AA experience; OR
- 7 yr AA experience
- 1 year experience in planning/monitoring User acceptance testing.
- 4 years’ experience with ServiceNow or alternative ticket management system for Change Management, Incident Management and Service Requests.
- 2 years’ experience working in an Agile/Scrum delivery environment, supporting application development, enhancements, and operational work.
Desirable Requirements
- 1 year experience in a highly regulated environment such as Government, Healthcare, Legal, Finance, compliance, security, privacy.
- 1 year experience in Data and Cloud Literacy.
- 1 year experience with Data Warehouse and Reporting Tools
- 1 year technology Standardization, ITSM, ServiceNow, Jira, workflows, documentation, service delivery.
- Ability to learn quickly, problem solve/troubleshoot, work independently and within a team.
- Ability to manage stress and conflict.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
