Our client requires a DevOps Specialist to design, develop, and support CI/CD pipelines that build, test, scan, package and deploy to OpenShift and other cloud & on-prem enterprise platforms.
Work is hybrid with 3 days per week onsite at client location in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities
- Assess frameworks, platform, or tech stack to assist in creating cloud-based solutions
- Design, build and support cloud environments to deploy digital products.
- Design, build, develop and administer CI/CD pipeline to support continuous development and deployment of modular cloud-based systems
- Monitor and assess the performance of applications in a cloud environment to ensure solutions are available.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues
- Create, test and implement safeguards to maintain data integrity and protect against unauthorized access.
Mandatory Requirements
- GitLab CI/CD is required
- Public Sector experience
- Experience in one of the leading cloud platforms such as AWS, OpenShift etc.
- Experience in maintaining complex Linux cloud environments, like CentOS, Ubuntu to support applications and services.
- Experience in scripting languages like Python, Bash, Java, JavaScript, Node, etc.
- Experience in build tools like Git, Ansible, CloudFormation, ytt etc. for continuous integration
- Experience in application code containerization and container-based virtualization technology like Docker, K8S etc.
- University/College degree in Computer Science. Certification in Software Engineering or equivalent a definite asset.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven hiring records with cloud platform and CI/CD pipelines related positions.
- Extensive experience in all facets of application development lifecycle (unit, functional, integration, system, regression, penetration, performance and user acceptance testing) a definite asset
- Solid experience in executing Systems Integration using Linux Shell scripting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in tracking problems and defects within a large project.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
