Our client requires a cloud administrator for administration, operation, and continuous improvement of enterprise cloud environments, with a primary focus on Microsoft Azure and Azure VMware Solution (AVS). Resource will ensure the secure, reliable, and efficient delivery of cloud infrastructure services while aligning with organizational governance, security, and compliance requirements. Responsibilities include supporting cloud operations, governance, and compliance by administering IaaS/PaaS services, hybrid environments, and identity management while implementing automation and infrastructure-as-code practices. Resource will also contributes to cloud migration initiatives and aligns operations with ITSM processes, security standards, and enterprise architecture.
Ability to pass criminal record check is required. Enhanced background check may be required for certain projects.
Work is onsite or remote (preference for resources available to be onsite).

Responsibilities
- Administering and supporting Azure resources (VMs, networking, storage, identity, backup, monitoring)
- Supporting Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments and hybrid connectivity
- Implementing and maintaining Azure security controls (RBAC, Conditional Access, MFA)
- Managing administrative roles and enforce least-privilege access models
- Supporting vulnerability remediation and compliance activities
- Administering Azure AD (Entra ID)
- Support implementation of security baselines, logging, configurations and audit readiness
- Develop and maintain automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep/Terraform)
- Support subscription and landing zone governance
- Administer Azure (Native Cloud Services) including Virtual Machines, App Services, networking, monitoring, cost controls, Storage backup and DR.
- Administer and support Azure resources (VMs, networking, storage, identity, backup, monitoring)
- Support Azure VMware Solution (AVS) environments and hybrid connectivity
- Work closely with Managed Service Providers (MSP) while supporting integration of cloud operations and migrations from on-prem to Azure/AVS (lift & shift)
- Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years infrastructure administration experience
- Minimum of 2–3 years hands-on Microsoft Azure experience
- Experience with Azure Cloud Service Models (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS)
Desirable Requirements
- Experience with Azure VMware Solution (AVS)
- Experience with cost optimization and cloud financial management
- Experience with identity governance (PIM, Entra ID advanced features)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Experience with cloud monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response
- Experience working in regulated or public sector environments
