Our client requires a DevOps Engineer to architect and implement the next-generation cloud infrastructure for procurement solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing services. Duties include Design and implementation of cloud architecture, security and compliance, plus ensuring integration services and establishing an operational framework. Resource will design scalable and secure cloud architectures, manage identity and access, and enhance security and compliance. Key deliverables include a comprehensive cloud architecture blueprint, security controls, integration strategies, and operational frameworks to improve service delivery and vendor experience.
Work is hybrid with 3 days onsite per week at client location in Toronto.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include:
- Design and implement secure, scalable cloud infrastructure tailored for procurement, including network and agile deployment frameworks.
- Develop identity and access management, data protection, and compliance services aligned with procurement standards.
- Ensure seamless connectivity between procurement systems and existing government IT services through optimized integration architecture and API management.
- Establish cloud operations, cost management, and performance monitoring strategies, along with automated deployment pipelines.
- Implement modern digital tools and user experience standards for vendors, ensuring efficient partner connectivity and engagement.
- Mentor team members, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive technological innovation in procurement solutions.
Mandatory Requirements
Mandatory Requirements Include:
- 5+ years’ hands-on experience with major cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This includes experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services
- In-depth understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, security groups, and load balancers as well as implementing cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and compliance with industry standards
- Strong technical leadership background with deep understanding of enterprise architecture, quality assurance, and release management, plus experience minimizing business disruption while managing critical issues
- Knowledge of disaster recovery and backup strategies in a cloud environment to ensure data integrity and availability. Additionally, leveraging Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation of cloud tasks

- Cloud Expertise: Deep expertise in cloud services, architecture patterns, and best practices.
- Technical Leadership: Proven experience leading complex cloud infrastructure projects.
- Security Focus: Strong understanding of data protection and compliance requirements.
- Architecture Design: Demonstrated ability to design scalable, user-friendly cloud solutions.
- Problem Solving: Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
- Communication: Excellent ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with focus on business impact.
Desirable Requirements
- Public Sector experience is preferred
