Our client requires a scrum master to facilitate agile ceremonies, working with cross functional teams using Microsoft DevOps to manage workflow, pulling tasks from the Azure DevOps board to add new functionality, improve existing functionality, or identify/fix bugs for sprints for solution delivery within agricultural domain.
Work is hybrid, Regina, SK is the preferred location (2 -3 days a week from clients’ Regina office). Locations outside of Regina may be considered for remote.
Hybrid or Remote (preference for onsite availability in Regina, Saskatchewan)
Responsibilities
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver value to customers.
- Reinforce Agile and Scrum practices to encourage teams to work with agility.
- Facilitate scrum ceremonies and other sessions as needed.
- Promote agile practices while consistently reinforcing scrum theory and values.
- Build relationships to foster engagement encourage collaboration.
- Remove or escalate impediments to the scrum team’s progress.
- Protect the team from internal and external distractions.
- Lead process management and improvement practices to ensure the team improves how they deliver value.
- Assist the Product Owner in ensuring that scope, commitments, and line of sight targets are understood by everyone on the scrum team.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling meetings, facilitating communication between teams
Mandatory Requirements
Required Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or computer science and at least five years of related experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Experience working in Agile Scrum.
- Relevant certifications.
- Public sector experience or experience within Agriculture or Agri-Food domain is preferred
Required Skills:
- In-depth understanding of agile principles and scrum frameworks.
- Ability to analyze and resolve a wide range of impediments that are strategic, organizational, or technical in nature.
- Confident communicator, facilitator, and relationship-builder.
- Skilled collaborator able to reinforce agile principles with colleagues.
- Innovator with sound business judgment.
- Team player with demonstrated ability to help others succeed.
