Our client requires a consultant to lead the assessment, design, and implementation of an enterprise IT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) program. This program included current-state analysis, risk identification, and recovery strategy development across on-premises and cloud environments. Resource will define and validate recovery objectives (RTO/RPO), classify critical systems, and establish governance, communication, and testing frameworks to ensure resilience of IT infrastructure and services. Success in this role requires collaboration with stakeholders to deliver a comprehensive, executable BCDR plan aligned with best practices for incident response, service continuity, and disaster recovery operations.
Work is hybrid, cannot offer 100% remote. The resource will be responsible for any travel or travel related expenses occurred while performing services.

Mandatory Requirements
- Demonstrated experience leading IT disaster recovery and business continuity planning engagements (preferably in a municipal/public-sector or similarly complex enterprise environment), including development of an approved BCDR/DR plan
- Experience designing, facilitating, and validating disaster recovery tests and exercises (e.g., tabletop scenarios and technical failover/recovery testing), including documenting test plans, success criteria, results, and remediation actions.
- Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Business Resilience IT Professional (CBRITP) Certification
- Strong technical knowledge across core infrastructure domains, including networking (routing/switching, SD-WAN concepts), identity services (Active Directory), DNS/DHCP/NTP, virtualization/servers, storage, backup/replication, monitoring, and cloud recovery options (e.g., Azure).
- Ability to apply infrastructure, security, and cloud knowledge to define realistic RTO/RPO targets and develop practical recovery strategies across primary and micro data centers, including applicable cloud services.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to translate technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
