Our client requires an Intermediate level Project Manager to play a critical role in leading the implementation of Central Waitlist Management (CWM). This includes planning for the Stage 2 go live, which includes integration with the Agency’s digital assets. In addition, the Project Manager will support cross regional working groups to develop routing recommendations and a health system directory to inform routing algorithms. This role will be essential in advancing program objectives and ensuring a coordinated, effective approach to Central Waitlist Management.
Work is hybrid with 2-3 days per week onsite at client location in Toronto, ON. Work must be done within the Province of Ontario.

Mandatory Requirements
Mandatory Requirements Include:
- Project Management Experience
- Process improvement/re-engineering
- Experience with digital implementations
- Public Sector experience is preferred
- Project Management Experience:
- Demonstrated experience leading complex projects using formal project management methodologies
- Experience producing core project management artifacts (charters, workplans, schedules, risk logs, status reports)
- PMP certification preferred (or demonstrated equivalent experience)
- Healthcare System Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment or any other clinical setting
- Experience working with clinical stakeholders and understanding healthcare service delivery models
- Digital & Technology Implementation Experience:
- Experience supporting or leading digital system implementations (e.g., referral systems, scheduling, clinical workflows, enterprise platforms)
- Experience working with vendors, digital teams, and regional partners to define and implement workflows
- Stakeholder Engagement & Change Management:
- Demonstrated experience leading stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, and consensus building across multiple partners
- Experience supporting clinical leads and interdisciplinary teams through change
Required Skills:
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop and communicate a vision that inspires and motivates staff and aligns with the program strategy.
- Ability to build consensus, make decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.
- Ability to engage and influence stakeholders, when necessary.
Desirable Requirements
- Healthcare experience is nice to have
- Undergraduate Degree in Business Administration, Technology, Health Sciences, Administration, Informatics, or another relevant discipline required
- A Masters Level Degree in these fields would be an asset
- A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification would be an asset
- Demonstrated experience leading provincial and/or enterprise-level change management projects to successful realization.
- 5-7 years of experience working in a complex hospital and/or healthcare environment in the context of project management or process improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in strategy development, health services program planning and implementation, and quality improvement.
- Demonstrated experience managing relationships, large-scale change, and system transformation.
- Experience facilitating and coaching interdisciplinary teams and successful use of change management strategies.
- Experience leading projects with multiple work streams and a budget of >$10m
- Experience in a central intake scheduling environment is an asset.
- Proven ability to work within a matrix management structure, while also successfully engaging a wide range of stakeholders in support of organizational objectives
- Proven ability to handle complex problems that require extensive investigation and analysis.
