Our client requires an architect to lead a large-scale Enterprise Work Management System (EWMS) implementation. Responsibilities include technical architecture, solution design, system configuration, integration, data migration strategy, and implementation governance while ensuring alignment with business processes, enterprise architecture standards, and operational objectives. Success in this role requires expertise in Maximo implementation, enterprise applications, system integration, technical strategy, business process mapping, and change management.
Work is hybrid with 3 days per week onsite at client location in Toronto, ON.
Responsibilities
- Acting as the Maximo Technical Subject Matter Expert to provide technical architecture, technical design, solutions, and information related to industry trends to lead all functional and technical aspects of solution development, including design of custom applications and interfaces ensuring quality of the implementation
- Developing work management technical strategy/architecture/framework, criteria and key technical architectural design decision documents which can be applied across divisional processes while gathering requirements, mapping business processes, solution design and implementing change management on a program level.
- Managing the configuration and layout of enterprise architecture and infrastructure
- Recommending Changes to procedures which result in operational optimization
- Participating in root cause analysis reviews when applicable
- Promoting shared infrastructure, technical designs, and applications to reduce costs and improve information flows, and ensure that Projects do not duplicate infrastructure or diverge from business and IT strategies
- Providing guidance for developing technical strategy for legacy data conversion and data migration, data conversion functional specifications and data mapping
- Supporting functional test case development, application testing and functional unit test.
Mandatory Requirements
- Graduate Degree or higher in Engineering or Information Technology
- IBM certified Maximo professional
- 15+ years’ Work Management Systems Implementation experience
- 10+ years’ experience in application (Maximo) development/implementation
- 10+ years demonstrable experience leading the solution design and implementation of full lifecycle Work management implementations.
- Public Sector experience
- An extensive knowledge of Work Management processes and specifically how Maximo and complementary third-party products can be integrated to meet customer requirements.
- 5+ years’ experience working within the public sector (Municipalities a bonus).
- 5+ years’ progressive experience as an architect in an infrastructure / technology architecture environment
- Knowledge of high availability/fault‐tolerant systems design and transparent application fail‐over
- Knowledge of relational and spatial database design, logical and physical system architecture, and object‐oriented analysis and design
