Our client requires a project control officer to support the delivery of complex, enterprise scale initiatives using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Responsibilities include end to end project coordination across multiple releases, ensuring strong governance, accurate tracking, and effective communication across technology, product, and business workstreams. Success in this role requires strong project management fundamentals and hands on experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office tools.

Work is onsite at client location in Toronto, ON.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a central point of coordination between delivery teams, product teams, and business stakeholders to coordinate and support assigned projects through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Tracking and reporting on project progress, milestones, risks, issues, actions, and dependencies
  • Assisting project managers and product owners while preparing, coordinating, and maintaining project schedules, release plans, and roadmaps
  • Supporting preparation of governance materials, approvals, briefing notes, and decision records
  • Coordinating project meetings, including scheduling, logistics, and stakeholder participation
  • Preparing and distribute meeting agendas, materials, and pre-reads
  • Capturing and distributing meeting minutes and notes, including decisions, risks, issues, and action items
  • Support change management and communication activities related to project delivery
  • Support coordination across related products and business process initiatives
Mandatory Requirements
  • 5+ years demonstrated experience supporting software application delivery teams (e.g., product, development teams)
  • 5+ years proven experience working in both waterfall and agile project environments
  • 5+ years’ hands-on experience with Confluence and Jira (documentation, tracking, reporting)
  • 5+ years’ strong knowledge of project management fundamentals, including governance, milestones, risks, and dependencies
  • 5+ years background in healthcare, health IT, or enterprise IT environments
Desirable Requirements
  • Public Sector experience
  • Experience supporting large, complex digital or platform transformation initiatives
  • Knowledge of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and hybrid delivery models
  • Exposure to enterprise governance models and stage-gate approvals
  • Experience supporting healthcare, public sector, or large enterprise environments
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (technology, product, business, vendors)
