Our client requires one (1) or more privacy analysts to assist in assessing, documenting, and educating project resources to promote privacy awareness and compliance. Duties include engaging in core team meetings, conducting Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), writing reports, crafting mitigation strategies, drafting data flow diagrams and documenting legislative authority/consent. The resource will also ensure accuracy, assemble supporting materials, evaluate retention schedules, assess safeguards and revise or create addendums to PIAs. This role is required to provide mentoring and process documentation to support privacy outcomes for IT projects

Work is remote. This engagement will be on an as needed basis, with the expectation that from July 2024 through July 2025 that the resource will be required on a full time/near full-time basis.

Mandatory Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience where the candidate was directly responsible for the development and delivery of Privacy Impact Assessments and/or Privacy Assessments for technology solutions within the last five (5) years.
  • Demonstrated working experience with Federal and Provincial privacy laws and requirements.
Desirable Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience developing and delivering Privacy Impact Assessments at a Provincial and/or Federal government level in projects.
  • Demonstrated experience of performing research and analysis used to inform recommendations to advance privacy protection.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing project initiatives to identify information access, privacy issues and opportunities (e.g., duplication of data, security, and privacy, enhance the quality and use of information within government).
  • Demonstrated familiarity with criminal justice system, correctional settings, and applicable laws, inclusive to both adult and youth cases and custody.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully working in a multiple project environment with an ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Demonstrated working experience with information security policies, standards, methods, and best practices.
