Our client requires a QA Automation Tester to provide Automated Application Testing Services on an inflight agile, cloud software development project as well as several projects within the client organization. The Automated Application Tester is responsible for ensuring the functionality of new features on the new education platform by conducting quality assurance testing. This role validates business requirements and upholds quality standards.
Work is remote, must currently reside within Canada.
Edmonton, Alberta (Remote)
Mandatory Requirements
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience (within the past seven (7) years (April 2019 to present) providing dedicated application testing services for web based software development projects.
- Must possess a minimum of one (1) year’s experience writing and executing automated UI and API tests for web-based software development projects.
- Experience testing large-scale, web-based educational platforms similar to new.learnalberta.ca.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience as a dedicated automated application tester on agile web-based software development projects.
- Experience deriving test cases from user stories, non-functional requirements and design documents.
- Experience executing tests across multiple test phases (i.e. system, integration, regression, and UAT).
- Experience executing cross-platform tests (e.g. across major browsers, iOS/Android), responsive design tests and accessibility tests (e.g., WCAG 2.0 compliance).
- Experience developing, executing and maintaining automated tests using modern AI-assisted tools such as BrowserStack (or equivalent).
