Unix Midrange Support Administrator

Our client requires a Unix Administrator to minister, configure, and support UNIX/Linux and AIX midrange servers. Responsibilities include maintaining secure, highly available environments through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, performance tuning, patching, and hardware maintenance. The resource will manage storage, backups, disaster recovery, server security, and ITIL incident and problem management to minimize service disruptions. Other duties include maintaining technical documentation, asset inventories, and service-level reporting while coordinating infrastructure upgrades, vendor support, and transitions to operations.
This role may have some requirements for overtime.
Work is onsite at client location in Regina, SK.

Mandatory Requirements
Mandatory Requirements Include:
- Computer Engineering / Computer Science degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Demonstrated record of continuous improvement
- ITIL Certification (Foundation, Service Manager)
- Midrange Server configuration and administration (Linux/AIX)
General Requirements Include:
- Demonstrated record of continuous improvement
Desirable Requirements
- SAN/NAS Storage experience (IBM SVC, NetApp)
- Azure Linux host and storage experience
- NetBackup experience
