Our client requires a Cybersecurity Architect to join the client’s digital transformation, transitioning from on-premises infrastructure to a cloud-based environment. As part of this initiative, they are also establishing a comprehensive cybersecurity program, including the implementation of modern security tools, governance frameworks, and best practices to ensure a secure and resilient digital foundation.
This Cybersecurity Architect will be responsible for the following deliverables: Implementing Data Loss Prevention (DLP); Developing Cybersecurity Program; Launching Security Awareness Program; Deploying Microsoft Defender; Implementing Security Awareness and Training Program.
Work is onsite at client location in Toronto, ON.

Mandatory Requirements
- 5+ years developing and implementing cyber security strategy program and architecture
- 5+ years’ experience with Control Testing and Assurance
- 5+ years’ experience with Audit against NIST, CIS and ISO framework
- 5+ years’ experience with implementing Risk Management Framework NIST RMF
- 5+ years implementing new cyber security solutions and technologies
- Public Sector experience
Desirable Requirements
Desirable Requirements Include:
- Bachelors in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or IT
- Certifications: CISM, CRISC
General Requirements Include:
- Experience developing and implementing cyber security strategy and architecture
- Experience designing and maintaining security controls and processes to protect systems, networks and data
- Experience reviewing system security measures, and recommending and implements enhancements
- Experience collaborating with other Information and Communication Technology and business departments to align security measures with security standards, policies and regulations
- Experience staying updated on cyber security threats, and recommends new security technology and strategy improvements
- Experience implementing new cyber security solutions and technologies
- Experience providing guidance to IT staff on security best practices
- Experience developing and maintaining cyber security reference architecture for consistent security controls
- Experience implementing incident response and disaster recovery plans
- Experience with Business continuity planning, contingency planning, disaster recovery planning, incident and response, business impact analysis, risk management methodologies including data center and application contingency testing to apply concepts in support of all organizational initiatives.
- Experience with Control Testing and Assurance
